Preventative Care
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Regular removal of plaque and tartar goes a long way in maintaining oral hygiene. At Caliber Dental, we will do thorough evaluation of your oral health, and monitor your gum condition on every visit.
We also provide fluoride treatment for children.
For your safety, we adhere to strict infection control measures to prevent transmission of disease. Our office meets or exceeds the standards of sterilization.
These precautions include
» Using proper gloves and masks
» Disinfecting and cleaning surfaces and treatment room equipment after every patient
» Sterilizing equipment
» Proper disposal of consumables
We would like to make your visit to our office a comfortable experience. We want you to have a relaxing dental experience. Should you require it, we have adequate understanding of treating patients with dental anxiety.
Pediatric Dentistry
At Caliber Dental, we enjoy attending to kids! We make every possible effort to ensure our young patients' dental visit a pleasurable one. We have seen several kids for their very first visit to a dentist and have also seen several kids who are afraid of dentists due to a traumatic previous incident. We use special medications to help apprehensive children relax during their dental appointment.
We also offer special preventive services for kids which include fluoride applications, sealants, space maintainers and protective mouthguards - especially for children engaging in contact sports e.g. baseball, soccer, hockey, basketball, skiing, bicycling, skating, martial arts etc. Mouthguards are very effective in preventing injuries and tooth loss or damage.
We also offer 'Toothprints' which is a very simple way of documenting our young patient's unique tooth characteristics and the tooth relationships in the jaw. It helps authorities in tracking a missing child or making a positive identification. It takes only a few minutes to make toothprints, and parents get to keep the records for safekeeping and easy access.
